A Good Day!

It's always a good day for Mad's when she has friends over. This is our friend Macey. These two love to play together. Thank goodness they are in the same class at school! Duke & Ellie like to get in on the photo opportunities. Tomorrow they go for a "spa treatment" (shampoo, cut, pet-icure, etc.)
Mak was frustrated doing Algebra homework....i think she ran out of fingers to count on. Mom certainly can't help when it comes to Algebra.

Today is Grandma's birthday. We took her for Chinese food. The pictures didn't turn out too well. Mak's camera is conveniently small, but we can't seem to figure it out. We love and appreciate our Grandma.

GOLF, RUN, WHEEZE

A had a wonderful experience making the golf team for CHS. Making the golf team does not ensure playing in tournaments. Each week the players must "qualify" for the upcoming week's tournament. A had the misfortune of not qualifying each week. Finally, he qualified for the very last tournament. He placed fourth on his team of six. The top four scores contribute to the team score. I'm sooooo proud of him.

H also had a great accomplishment this week. We all know that H isn't the fastest runner. His PE class required that he finish the mile under the 10 minute mark. His best time was 11:26. We practiced the night before the run. Dad taped him up because he is unstable in is stance and walk. We took to the track. With all of us cheering and pushing him, he shaved off 45 seconds. Still not enough time to finish his 10 minute goal, but what an accomplishment. Then the next day at PE, he took the challenge and was a huge success. He finished at 9:25.

Mad has had a bout with asthma and pneumonia this week. I took her to the pediatrician who indicated pneumonia and we treated with breathing treatments and a z-pack. Still not better a few days later so I took her to a specialist, who said the complete opposite of what the pediatrician said. Dang doctors! Don't they know they just confuse me. After giving her 25 shots for allergy tests (oh yeah....she doesn't have allergies, just asthma....dah, ya think?), I'm sure I'll be sick when I receive the bill.

Congrats to my friend Amy for getting a blog. I've added you to my friends list. C'mon Colette...you can do it too.

An Update on the Blog Just So The Teeth Are Gone!

There have been many requests to update the blog....no one will admit that they have been frightened by the teeth....(it is a little scary!). Perhaps later this afternoon I'll have some pictures to add to the blog....A's in his first high school golf tournament in St. George today, Mad is going to a immune specialist (hopefully) and then there is the vice-presidential debate this evening. Check back tomorrow for a better post.

The Braces Are OFF!!!

This picture might scare little children, perhaps even some adults, but here it is. Not perfect, but better than I've ever had. Thanks Dr. Webster and staff. (Sign me up when you get the lipo-suction machine.)

Clint, Kaley & Skyler Sealed

Clint, Kaley and Sky-baby were sealed in the Mt. Timpanogas Temple on Sept. 10, 2008. Everything was beautiful.

Skyler has grown so much. Clint and Kaley do a wonderful job keeping him happy. For more pictures of their special day, log onto snapfish.com, enter janetpics@yahoo.com as the ID and then "lookhere" as the password. I figured if you wanted pics, you can download them yourselves or order them from Snapfish.

Family Fun!

Labor Day weekend usually marks the end of summer and the beginning of the fall and winter holidays. This Labor Day, we went to Rockport/Wanship and did some boating with our family. It was fun to see Lindsay and her family, and Aaron and his family. Dean and Joyce provided us with kayaks and G provided the boat and toys. I think everyone had a good time.

After boating, we wandered up the road a bit to Dean's cabin. It is beautiful. The running stream (...can a stream be 20 feet wide? or is it called a river if it is over a few feet?) behind the cabin was gorgeous. G could spend all day walking up and down looking for "holes".

The reason for going north for the weekend, was to view the baby blessing of Savannah Kate. It was a lovely blessing given to her by her father, Josh. I don't have pictures because we left the camera in SLC. Megan and Josh will be super parents and little Savannah will have a wonderful life.

Dean and G discussing fishing holes.
G loves to fish, but doesn't get to often. This was a treat (but only a 20 minute treat).
