Seattle to Brazil

So, this will be the third time I typed this before I lost it in cyberspace. I was doing so well with pictures and text, and then I tried to get fancy. Just like that....it was gone. I uttered a few words and will attempt once more.

G and the kids went to Seattle to attend Leah and Som's wedding. What a treat! A wonderful cultural experience. They haven't stopped talking about it. Since I took Mak's camera with me, they have no real photos from the event, save a few on Mak's cell phone. In between all the festivities of the wedding, they were able to take the underground tour of Seattle. Sounds a bit spooky to me, but they thoroughly enjoyed it.

I had the opportunity to travel to Santa Maria Brazil with my brother and his wife to pick up their son, Chad, from his mission. What a thrill. Okay, the getting there was not so fun....42 hours in total travel time (that includes lay overs and delayed planes). Upon arriving, in our cute Fiat (a car I will always remember as tourist-ugly and extremely uncomfortable), we were whisked away to Sacrament meeting....no time for shower or make-up, just had to go as we were. We put on our Sunday clothes, brushed our teeth (that felt wonderful) and left. The Sacrament meeting was very interesting. The ward was small. It was Fast & Testimony meeting. Once in a while I could pick up a word here and there. Many times, I heard Elder T's name. They loved him so much. I can see why Chad loved his mission.

After Church was over, Chad baptized a little girl. That was awesome to see.
